Positive Thoughts for Lowering Stress

A major cause of stress is can be our own thoughts, especially when we negatively judge things that we experience. When you are feeling stressed, The Mayo Clinic suggests challenging yourself to see if you can simply be aware of your experience for three minutes without critiquing yourself, others, or the situation e.g. “I should have done that differently,”, “I can’t believe he is behaving that way” etc. By removing judgement and evaluation, space is created for relaxation, gratitude, and decreased stress.
