Variety for Better Fitness Results

Fitness experts, (including our own Dr. Kathy!) strongly encourage adding variety to your exercise routine. Mixing it up will keep both your body and mind more active and keep your workout more interesting. Two ways you can vary your routine are to either increase the intensity of the exercise or by cross training. For example, if you ride a stationary bike, consider adding short intervals of sprints or inclines. Or, consider stepping out (maybe literally!) out of your comfort zone and try out a class or type of equipment that you have never tried before. Another way to add variety is by simply changing the sequence in which you perform your exercises. Don’t be shy about asking a staff member for assistance with how to vary your workout. We are here to help!
