Water Aerobics

Water AerobicsBalance Health, in partnership with Gables of Ojai, is now offering aquatics fitness and physical therapy. Aquatic fitness classes are a great way to build your endurance and overall health in a low-impact environment. You will explore and improve balance, coordination, strength, and agility all in a comfortable pool setting.

Water-based exercise improves our quality of life and decreases physical challenges to exercise in an approachable, fun way. It can be especially helpful for folks with chronic diseases, where lower impact exercise is needed. For people with arthritis, aquatics workouts can improve the use of affected joints without worsening their symptoms. Clinical studies have documented improved health in people with rheumatoid arthritis after participating in hydrotherapy than with other activities. It can also decrease the pain from osteoarthritis and improve or maintain the bone health of post-menopausal women. Exercising in water offers many physical and mental health benefits and is a good choice for anyone who want to be more active. Please visit our class schedule for the days and times of our aquatics fitness classes.
