PhysioMoves

PhysioMoves is part workout, part education, and all fun. Built around a familiar timed-circuit approach, each station is balanced with the others for a perfect whole body workout. It is an hour of fitness spent discovering your body’s potential while maintaining our “start where your are” attitude. We’ll work on all components of physical movement including strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. The class is led by a Balance Health Coach, guiding you through the exercises and answering any questions you have. Every week the stations change, to surprise your body and engage the mind–the best possible approach for optimal results. You’ll learn the smartest approaches to exercise, and discover ways to maintain a healthy, active life.

Line Dance Fitness

This is simply too fun to be considered a workout. Our instructor will guide you through new and classic line dances on your way to better fitness. We’re going to be on the padded aerobic floor, so wear your gym shoes rather than your cowboy boots.

The Morning Stretch

Stretching is an essential but often overlooked part of good fitness. Common everyday tasks like driving or carrying a purse or backpack can cause muscles to get tight. Stretching creates better form and posture, lowers the risk of injury, and improves balance. As a part of your exercise plan, stretching helps lessen post-workout fatigue by lengthening constricted muscles. Plus, it feels so good!

Rebound!

An exhilarating alternative to traditional strength training. With a quick clip to a Rebound “spine”, you can exercise all major muscle groups for a whole body workout. Unlike traditional weights, bands and tubing don’t rely on gravity to provide resistance. Free weights can only provide resistance in a vertical plane —the direction of gravity. Rebound Bands create resistance in a horizontal plane or any angle in-between. Performing exercises in multiple planes of motion mirrors real world forces on our bodies, strengthening us for the day ahead.

On the Ball

This simple tool—essentially a big bouncy ball—was originally created by Swiss physical therapists for use in orthopedic and neuromuscular treatment. Since then it has found its way into the greater world of fitness. You’ll see it used in everything from beginning fitness programs to elite athletic training. The ball efficiently engages core muscles through basic movements. Fitness ball exercises improve muscle tone and flexibility, build core strength, fine-tune balance, and improve posture and body alignment.
