Class Descriptions

Cardio Moves

Cardio Moves is a circuit-style workout designed to safely elevate your heart rate while keeping movement enjoyable and adaptable. Guided by our Balance Health coaches, you’ll rotate through a variety of stations using strength, cardio, and functional movements. Participants wear arm heart-rate monitors so we can individualize intensity based on age and fitness level, helping you work hard without overdoing it. The variety keeps things fun, effective, and motivating—no two classes feel the same.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga emphasizes slow, mindful movement combined with breathing and relaxation. This class improves flexibility, posture, and body awareness without pushing into discomfort. Poses are adapted for comfort and accessibility, making it ideal for those looking to reduce stiffness, manage stress, and reconnect with movement in a calm, supportive setting.

Line Dancing

Line Dancing is a fun, upbeat way to improve coordination, balance, and cardiovascular fitness—no partner required. You’ll learn easy-to-follow dance patterns set to a variety of music styles, all in a welcoming and social environment. Beyond the physical benefits, line dancing supports brain health through pattern recognition and memory, making it a joyful way to move, laugh, and stay mentally sharp.

Steady: Balance and Bones

Steady is designed to improve balance, stability, and bone strength through intentional, weight-bearing exercises. This class focuses on fall prevention, posture, and confidence with standing and walking tasks, while also supporting bone health through safe loading strategies. Movements are progressive and adaptable, making Steady an excellent choice for anyone wanting to feel more secure, steady, and resilient in daily life.

Chair Fitness

Chair Fitness is a supportive, full-body workout performed primarily seated or using a chair for stability. This class focuses on improving strength, mobility, circulation, and coordination in a safe, approachable way—making it ideal for those managing balance concerns, joint pain, or returning to exercise. Movements can be easily modified, allowing you to build confidence and strength while staying comfortable and well-supported.

Hinges: Arthritis Improvement

Hinges is a joint-friendly class created for individuals managing arthritis or joint stiffness. The focus is on improving mobility, strength, and control around key joints—especially hips, knees, and spine—using slow, intentional movements. You’ll learn how to move more comfortably and efficiently, reduce unnecessary strain, and build strength that supports long-term joint health and daily function.

Physio Moves

Physio Moves is a circuit-based class developed by our physical therapists and coaches to reinforce the movement skills we naturally lose without regular practice. This focused 30-minute workout integrates strength, cardio, balance, coordination, and cognitive challenges that directly support everyday activities. The exercises are drawn from the same principles PTs use with patients for long-term improvement, helping you maintain mobility, confidence, and independence as you age.

Walking Group

The Walking Group offers a supportive, social way to stay active while improving endurance, posture, and confidence with walking. Led by a coach, these walks may include gentle pacing guidance, posture cues, and optional balance or mobility check-ins. It’s a great way to build consistency, enjoy fresh air, and stay connected while moving at a pace that feels right for you.
