Balance Health Center is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Team Member to help create a welcoming experience for our patients and members.

This role is often the first point of contact for people visiting the clinic, so we are looking for someone who enjoys helping others, communicates clearly, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.

Our front desk supports both our physical therapy clinic and our fitness programs, so the environment is active, positive, and focused on helping people stay healthy and moving well.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome and check in physical therapy patients and gym members
  • Schedule appointments with physical therapists and fitness coaches
  • Answer phones and assist with general questions
  • Collect payments and help manage basic billing tasks
  • Assist staff with administrative support when needed
  • Help keep the front desk area organized and running smoothly

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with people and providing great customer service
  • Is organized and detail-oriented
  • Is comfortable using computers and scheduling systems
  • Communicates clearly and professionally
  • Can manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
  • Is reliable, punctual, and positive

Experience in a medical office, fitness facility, or customer service role is helpful but not required.

About Balance Health Center

Balance Health Center is looking for a part-time Health & Fitness Coach to help lead group exercise classes and support occasional individual coaching sessions focused on helping adults stay strong, mobile, and active for a lifetime.

Our programs emphasize strength, balance, mobility, coordination, and functional movement that support long-term health, independence, and confidence in everyday life.

This is a great opportunity for a coach who enjoys working with people, values quality movement, and wants to make a meaningful impact in a supportive community environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead small group classes that improve strength, balance, mobility, and cardiovascular fitness
  • Occasionally provide 1-on-1 coaching sessions
  • Help participants develop better movement patterns that support everyday activities
  • Create a welcoming and encouraging class environment
  • Work collaboratively with physical therapists and other instructors
  • Assist with light class setup and equipment
  • Occasionally help with front desk support, such as greeting members or assisting with basic check-in tasks

Our programs combine elements of strength training, balance work, mobility exercises, coordination drills, and cardio designed to support active aging and lifelong movement.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience leading exercise classes or coaching individuals
  • Holds a fitness certification (ACE, NASM, ISSA, AFAA, etc.) or is working toward one
  • Enjoys working with adults 50+
  • Values proper movement and safe exercise progression
  • Communicates clearly and creates a positive class environment
  • Is reliable, professional, and encouraging

Experience with senior fitness, balance training, mobility work, functional strength training, yoga, tai chi, or similar disciplines is especially valuable.

Balance Health Center is seeking a physical therapist to join our team in Ojai, California. Our practice integrates outpatient orthopedic care with proactive movement and fitness programs designed to help people stay active, strong, and independent throughout life.

We work with individuals of all ages, with a strong focus on helping adults remain active beyond age 50 through strength, balance, and movement-based programs. Our clinic also supports specialized community programs including Parkinson’s movement classes and educational workshops.

We are looking for a therapist who values thoughtful, one-on-one patient care, strong clinical reasoning, and helping people build lasting movement health—not just recover from injury.

The right person shares a vision for expanding the role of physical therapy beyond traditional rehabilitation toward long-term function, prevention, and active aging.


Summary of Position

Qualified candidates must hold a current California Physical Therapist license and demonstrate strong clinical reasoning and hands-on skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct 60-minute initial evaluations and guide ongoing patient care

  • Maintain continuity of care with individualized treatment planning

  • Provide manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation

  • Deliver evidence-based treatment with one-on-one patient visits

  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers

  • Document patient care and progress using WebPT

  • Support patient education and functional movement training

  • Participate in community education, workshops, or movement classes when appropriate

Interest in exercise-based rehabilitation, movement education, and proactive wellness programs that help people stay active long-term is strongly encouraged.

Balance Health Center combines physical therapy and fitness programming under one roof. Therapists work alongside fitness coaches and instructors who lead strength, balance, and mobility programs designed for long-term movement health.

This integrated model allows therapists to support patients across the full spectrum of care—from recovery to ongoing strength, balance, and wellness programs.

Our practice emphasizes meaningful one-on-one care, movement-based treatment, and long-term patient relationships.
